We look at the following criteria when deciding to merge contacts:


  • Contact name¬†
  • Company name
  • Email address
  • First line of address¬†

For example we will look at both first name and last name together - so if you have two Jackie Smiths - this will then look at the other criteria such as 'company name', 'email address' and 'first line of address' to see if there is a match - if there is a match against one or more of these additional criteria then it will merge the records together as it is seen as a duplicate.
